What to look for
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
healthy with recent last-seen |
Appliance is online and working normally | No action needed |
warning |
Appliance is online but reporting a degraded condition | Open the appliance detail to see the health report. Monitor for improvement. |
critical |
Appliance is reporting a serious issue | Open the detail, review the health report, and escalate if needed. |
| Stale last seen (e.g., hours or days ago) | Appliance has stopped checking in — it may be offline, stopped, or the host machine has lost connectivity | Check that the host machine is powered on and has network access. Check that the edge agent service is running on the host. |
| Older agent version | The appliance is running an older version of the edge agent software | Contact your administrator about updating the appliance software. |
Discovery stops when an appliance goes offline
If an appliance goes offline, all discovery, enrichment, metrics collection, and change execution
for the devices at that site will pause. Assets will still be visible in NetEdgeIQ but their data
will not be updated until the appliance comes back online.
Admin note
Admins see all appliances across all organizations and sites. Use the org and site filters to narrow
the list to a specific customer or location.
